By placing the changing room and lob - by in the center with the baths on the perimeter, bathaus is an inversion of the typical courtyard bathhouse typology. All programs are sunken below grade where the head height is at ground level. Referencing the Steve Jobs theater, the bath house is a column-less space with structural glass that runs around the perimeter. In - side there is an unobstructed view of the meadow. However, outside one cannot easily see into it, creating privacy in the bathaus.
